Patras LSG organizes next steps of "ARRIVAL CITIES" project
ALDA is proud to report about an active stance of Patras Municipality (Greece) in ARRIVAL CITIES project. Patras Municipality, member of ALDA, confirms its commitment in supporting the values of democracy and citizen participation at local level.
Patras LSG members of ARRIVAL CITIES project met on 2 November 2017 aiming at identifying next steps of action.
First of all, a vivid discussion took place regarding the outcomes and best practices of Oldenburg thematic workshop of last September; later Patras LSG members exchanged their views on the current content of the Integrated Action Plan (IAP), giving their opinions on the information to be put in it. The discussion included exchange on the envisaged risks as well as on the monitoring and evaluation systems to be designed.
It is noteworthy that the ARRIVAL CITIES project perfectly relates to the activation of Patras in the "Intercultural Cities-ICC" network of the Council of Europe and ALDA - European Association of Local Democracy, where the city is an active member for many years now, trying to use diversity as an advantage and also to apply democratic values in practice.
Patras Municipality intends to continuously exploit its own local, regional, national and international networks, in order to achieve a multiplier effect on the dissemination and implementation of ARRIVAL CITIES results.
