Project of International Cooperation "SoutEast-e"
Today, Friday 11 July 2014, the International Workshop on "development of economical relationships and strengthening of participative democracy processes in Caucasus Region and South-East Europe” will take place at the Europalace Hotel of Monfalcone (Italy).
The project is organized by Monfalcone Municipality, with the collaboration of the Technological Pole of Pordenone, Ures – the Slovenian Economical Union, and ALDA – the European Association for Local Democracy.
The introductive session of the meeting will be held by Mrs Silvia Altran, Mayor of Monfalcone, Marco Olivotto, representative of the Technological Pole of Pordenone and a representative of Ures.
During the meeting they will discuss the new opportunities and perspective of collaboration with Georgia and Armenia countries.
Many representatives coming from Georgia and Armenia will express their contribution to the project. Among them, for the Georgian delegation, Prof . Vaja Vardidze, Rector of Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University, Prof. Natsvlishvili Ekaterine, Director of Business&Management Department, Mr Mamradze Petre, Head of the Board of Policy Institute of Governance, and Mrs Keti Pularia, Representative of Caritas Georgia. The Armenian delegation will be represented by Mr Sargis Ghazaryan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia in Italy, Mrs Anna Fiorini Beriot, Responsible of the Cooperation between the Mediterranean area and Armenia in the Rhône-Alpes Region (France), and Mrs Lusine Aleksandryan, Delegate of LDA Armenia in Gyumri.
The meeting will be concluded by the intervention of Mr Gianni Torrenti, Regional Councilor for Culture and Solidarity of Friuli Venezia Giulia Autonomous Region, which will show the strategies and activities of the region in the cooperation for development.
