Law students and professors from Lower Normandy visit Macedonia for "the Day of the French-Macedonian comperative law"
On 9th December 2014, on the occasion of “the Day of French-Macedonian comparative law”, 20 students and 5 professors from the Faculty of Law of Caen (France) visited Skopje, in Macedonia.
This was “the Day of comparative law” fourth edition, that was organized by the International Institute for Human Rights and Peace of Caen, in cooperation with the Faculty of law of Skopje and Caen Universities. The event was supported in the framework of the Decentralized Cooperation between Lower Normandy and Macedonia.
The topic of this edition was “justice for minors” both in France and Macedonia. This event gathered professors and students from the Faculty of Law in Skopje and Caen, and gave them the opportunity to debate on this topic.
On this occasion, they also had the opportunity to meet the President of the Republic of Macedonia, who acknowledged the value of friendship between France and Macedonia through history and several similarities between the two cultures.
The international cooperation between faculties, as well as the topic of human rights, is one of the main points of interest within the framework of the Cooperation between Lower Normandy and Macedonia.
