EYES – 44 youth workers on the way to Vicenza
More than 40 youth workers form 15 different countries all across wider Europe are finalizing their preparation for the International training EYES (European Youth Environmental Sentinels) on citizen participation, health and environment which will kick-off next Sunday, 21 June in Vicenza (Italy). The initiative is organised by ALDA in partnership with ISBEM and other 18 organisations active in environmental protection and youth participation.
The project aims at putting the civic participation of young Europeans at the service of health and environment by offering young people from diverse backgrounds an opportunity to interact, share knowledge and debate.
The objective of the activity is to train 44 youth workers already involved in environmental activities to become “sentinels” and promote multiplying effect at local level. The outcomes will be the basis for the involvement of all 15 local communities and particularly youngsters, to tackle environmental violations affecting public health. Non-formal methodologies will be applied to foster debate and intercultural exchanges throughout the training.
