Presenting CHOICE project in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine
On 12th October, in Dnipropetrovsk (Ukraine), a presentation of the project CHOICE - Cultural Heritage: Opportunity for Improving Civic Engagement was organised by the Lviv-based Centre for Cultural Management, one of the ALDA’s partners in this project.
It represented also an opportunity to announce the calls for proposals that the Centre will administer in Ukraine with the deadline of 31st October for the first concept notes. Following a presentation of the project and its objectives by Ihor Savchak, the director of the Centre, a lively discussion on possible initiatives under the subgranting scheme took place. The suggestions included cultural and historical revival of the local small towns and communities with the objective to raise awareness among local populations about the value of cultural heritage.
The LDA of Dnipropetrovsk Region also intends to take part in the call for proposals and build partnerships with local organizations interested in preserving cultural heritage and legacy in the region.
The project 'CHOICE - Cultural Heritage: Opportunity for Improving Civic Engagement' is funded by the European Union.
