Sharing best practices within CSOs from Europe and Turkey through Civil Society Exchange program
Civil Society Exchange Program took place from 8th to 12th July in Istanbul, Turkey.
The program, with duration of six months, is designed for civil society organizations and civil initiatives from Turkey and Europe, supporting the idea of a unified Europe through cross-border cooperation. It is organised by MitOst Foundation
(Germany) and by Istanbul Bilgi University
(Turkey) with the support of Mercator Foundation
This exchange activity represents a sort of kickoff event of the project focused on exchange of best practices and opportunities for cooperation between ALDA and Association for Supporting slow living from Turkey (YAYADE
), with whom ALDA will develop a 6 months’ project aimed at developing strategies and methodologies to promote community dialogue.
The 5-days event had a very rich agenda full of variety of sessions and focused on capacity building, best practice exchange, partnership building, project management and future activity planning.
Different civil society actors had the opportunity to share and multiply good practices on internal capacity building. The aim is also to strengthen the capacity of civil society by providing mobility and a space for mutual learning.
The program will end with a final event planned for February 2018 in Berlin. In the meanwhile, representatives of CSOs from Greece, Georgia, France, Czech Republic, Germany and Bulgaria will exchange experience and plan joint activities with partners from Turkey.
