REINFORCING RELATIONS BETWEEN CITIES IN LOWER NORMANDY AND MACEDONIA
Town twinning, as an additional component in the Decentralised cooperation between Lower Normandy region and Republic of Macedonia, is reinforcing the existing connections and establishing new ones.
Two Macedonian cities, Debar and Struga, are welcoming two Lower Normandy delegations, from Ifs and Ouistreham.
The towns of Ifs (FR) and Debar (MK) are strengthening their relation in the field of cultural development, during three day study visit in Debar (from June 29 to July 02). The delegation formed of official representatives and artists from Ifs, will attend different cultural events, such as theatre shows and photo exhibitions. Both cities will exchange their experiences and discus the future cooperation in reinforcing the cultural component.
The cultural component, but also the youth and environment will be key exchange points during the meeting of Ouistreham (FR) and Struga (MK), from July 05 to July 08 in Macedonia. These two cities are restarting their cooperation building their connections on several common points, such as literature festivals, nature museums, etc.
Town twinning as a segment in the Decentralised cooperation between Lower Normandy and Macedonia builds up contacts and friendship with communities from the two territories and promotes better understanding.
