The seminar is organised, within the multilateral decentralised cooperation France-Balkans programme  by ALDA together with the Pays Vichy Auvergne, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CRET, Training Centre of the Chamber of Commerce of HautesAlpes, a mountain department in Southeastern France.
The Balkans have a lot of assets to become a well-known tourist destination in the field of outside activities and leisure in nature. These activities involve a strong interest as they can be practiced in family or among friends, alone or in group, in conditions which are respectful to nature and environment. They associate discovering of landscapes, heritage and local culture. They also facilitate social links between rural and urban territories, and among stakeholders issued from different cultures.
In Eastern Europe, we observe an increasing demand from clients who want to diversify their activities during their travels. In addition of traditional activities (hiking, skiing) new practices have been developed, such as via-ferrata, snowshoe, etc.
