NETWORKING BETWEEN CULTURAL AND TOURISM OPERATORS OF THE PELAGONIA REGION IN MACEDONIA
The Macedonian Centre for New Initiatives in Arts and Culture – Lokomotiva organised a workshop entitled “Project Management and Strategic Planning” which took place from 7 to 10 of May in Bitola, Macedonia. Professionals from several Macedonian cities and municipalities accompanied by two Serbian experts participated in the workshop.
The objective was to unite the region’s capacities and to create a regional cultural network. The group successfully completed the first stage of the networking by identifying needs, potentials and solutions for greater homogenisation of the cultural offer of the Pelagonia region.
The Centre for Development of Pelagonia Region will supervise the network development under the role of coordination and communication centre.
During the workshop, common needs of the Macedonian region and the French commune of Mont-Staint-Michel Bay were identified. Therefore, a new workshop is foreseen from 26 to 30 of June 2012 in the Mont St. Michel Bay where Macedonian and French stakeholders will discuss culture and tourism linking opportunities in order to achieve territorial development.
This workshop was organised in the framework of the Decentralized cooperation between the Lower Normandy region and Republic of Macedonia, in the component 4 – Youth active citizenship on local level, project coordinated by ALDA.
