“VOLUNTEERING IN LOCAL COMMUNITY: PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN YOUTH AND SENIORS?”11TH VIT PROJECT LOCAL EVENT. Kaunas (LT) 11 – 12 October 2012
On 11th and 12th October, the Municipal Training Centre at Kaunas University of Technology will hold a local workshop in Kaunas (Lithuania), within the framework of ALDA VIT Project.
The event will focus on “Volunteering in Local Community: partnership between youth and seniors?” and gather a variety of expert, representatives of NGOs, local governments, students and seniors.
This workshop will be the 11th event organized in their own country by the partners of the project Very Important Twinning, Volunteering in Town (VIT), in which ALDA is the lead partner.
The VIT project seeks to promote volunteering in various European cities, raising debates on questions of active citizenship and participation. A series of conferences and workshops are being organised to enable delegates to reflect upon how active citizenship can improve governance across Europe. Through these debates good practice will be identified and shared by local, regional and international participants.
