Growing Steps – Training on development of rural areas and youth employment. Find your way!
The training course Growing Steps on promoting young employment and rural entrepreneurship has kicked off in Palermo, Sicily. The project has the main aims to foster the spirit of initiative and entrepreneurship in rural areas, to raise awareness of the benefits of promoting youth involvement in local communitie,s and raise awareness on European institutions, active citizenships and Eu election.
To reach these objectives, the training foresees sessions dedicated to the presentation of EU programmes, policies and initiatives for participation and to the analysis of rural development linked to the issue of youth unemployment. During the second day, participants actively participate in groups to discuss about NEETS Youth unemployment in Europe and in neighbouring countries.
The Organisation’s bazaar Event represented an interesting an non formal way for organisations participating to the training to present themselves and to meet other associations and to strengthen their networks. The intercultural evening was another original opportunity for participants to present their countries: typical food and traditional songs and dances animated the evening. In framework of the initiative “Real Country” participants showed videos, flyers and maps of the most beautiful places (known and unknown) of their countries.
The training will last the all week, the agenda will focus on discovering youth entrepreneurship in rural areas trough study visits and workshops. Clara Camerlingo and Gaël Chataignere represent ALDA.
