ALDA's work in Malta
Malta represents a very important country within the strategy of ALDA, both for its strategic position in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea and for its status of "new" EU Member State. ALDA has established a very close partnership and effective cooperation with the Local Councils Association, representing all the local governments in Malta, with which several projects dealing with citizen participation and local governance have been developed in the past few years. ALDA is also very focused on other sensitive issues dealing with the Mediterranean basin, and thus affecting and involving Malta, such as: migration, Euromed cooperation, sustainable growth and development as well as youth issues.
