DESCRIPTION:The Environment & Climate Hub ( https://www.alda-europe.eu/thematic-hubs/environment-and-climate/ ) Brussels Event 2025 returns for its second annual edition, this time with an in-person gathering in Brussels, hosted at Mundo Madou on 23–24 October 2025.\nAfter the first online event, this second Environment & Climate Hub Event will feature two main sessions:\n\n\nA public workshop on the morning of 23 October titled “Beyond Awareness: How Civil Society Shapes the Green and Smart City”,\n\n\nA members-only strategy session in the afternoon, open to ALDA members and partners.\n\n\nThe public event will be an interactive session combining project presentations, case examples, and co-creation exercises. As the EU moves forward with the Green Deal and digital transition, the workshop explores the critical role of civil society in urban innovation — not just as advocates, but as co-creators of green and smart cities.\nThe session will:\n\n\nHighlight participatory models that support inclusive sustainability\n\n\nShowcase EU-funded projects such as BUILDSPACE and GreenScape\n\n\nOffer a space to connect stakeholders, spark replication, and drive innovation\n\n\nAfter a networking lunch, ALDA members will take part in a closed-door session aimed at translating insights from the previous online gathering into strategic directions for the Hub.
