DESCRIPTION:\nOn 8 June 2026, young democracy advocates, civil society representatives, policymakers and practitioners from around the world will gather in Brussels for DemoWave 2026 – The Youth (Un)Conference.\nOrganised by the Youth Democracy Cohort and led by the European Partnership for Democracy (EPD), the event aims to create an interactive space for discussing the future of democracy, youth participation and civic engagement in an increasingly digital world.\nDemoWave brings together young leaders, activists, researchers and organisations working to strengthen democratic participation and civic space. The programme will focus on innovative approaches to youth engagement, digital democracy, civic technology and political participation, encouraging dialogue between generations and across sectors.\nThe event is organised within the broader framework of the Youth Democracy Cohort, a global platform bringing together hundreds of organisations committed to advancing youth participation in democratic processes worldwide.
