During the last training sessions that took place in the framework of the project Mobilised Civil Society for Local Democracy on June 2016, some of the participants were interviewed to share their experience and their opinion about the project.

***
The project gathers participants representing local authorities and civil society organizations, aiming at building capacity of regional CSOs to monitor local government reform and representing interests of local communities at the national level.
The latest trainings focused on decentralised cooperation. It was an occasion for participants to express some of the perceived benefits of taking part in it: positive feedbacks, highlighting the importance of having practical examples, that give a dimension which is close to local reality. They affirm that the trainings offered useful ideas on how to improve their workplaces, that they can start implementing right away. They also emphasize their will to actively cooperate and work for their country in its way to the EU, and as a participant says “To share experiences with each other and learn a lot from one another”.
The project Mobilised Society for Local Democracy is led by our member, the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG), in cooperation with ALDA and the Local Democracy Agency in Georgia.
