Within the framework of its youth strategy, ALDA participated in the launch event of the Erasmus + programme in France, held at the Cité internationale universitaire de Paris on 29 September. The objective of the meeting was to boost the visibility of the programme and raise awareness of its measures promoting the professional, social and cultural growth of young people through mobility.

High-level European and national figures contributed to the success of the event: Ms Androulla Vassilliou, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Multilingualism, Sport, Media and Youth; Mr François Rebsamen, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Dialogue; Ms Geneviève Fioraso, Minister of Higher Education and Research; Ms Najat Vallaut-Belkacem, Minister of Education, Higher Education and Research and Mr Patrick Kanner, Minister of Youth and Sport.

ALDA was represented by Aldo Xhani, youth and citizenship project manager of the organisation. Attending the event was an occasion to keep ALDA at the forefront of youth policies and further strengthen its role throughout the new programming period 2014-2020 as a key actor in promoting EU priorities such as European citizenship, the participation of young people, cultural diversity, inclusion as well as youth employment.
