On 7 April in the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, ALDA organized a training session about socio-economical inclusion of Roma people. The training took place in the framework of the European-funded project PAL (Fighting discrimination and anti-Gypsyism in education and employment in EU) and the International Day of Roma people the day after.

***
Over 40 people attended this occasion, among them: social workers, inclusion companies, representatives of public authorities and civil society from the Region Alsace. The participants had the possibility to share their points of view in order to improve networking, referencing, communication, and removing barriers to access for Roma people to the job market.

On 4 and 5 April, ALDA was also present in Diepenbeek, in Belgium, for the “Employ me” conference, with international partners from the PAL project. Our partner Amina Bouchra, deputy Director of Horizon Amitié, presented the work realised by her association promoting employment opportunities for Roma people in Strasbourg, with the implementation of the “Space 16”. This space allows welcoming, accommodating and easing access to the job market for Roma population in Strasbourg.
