Agenda 2030: a universal action plan for an environmentally, economically and socially sustainable world

While the United Nations’ Millennium Declaration applied only to developing countries, the Agenda 2030 does not have any specific geographical focus. Indeed, its goals, targets and indicators are addressed to both developed and developing countries.

Obviously, the context and the national circumstances may represent different degrees of challenges and ambitions when it comes to  its implementation. However, European countries as much as others should always take into consideration the SDGs frame when discussing policies, action plans and strategies at all governmental levels.
