Support to Civil Society Organisations in the Republic of Moldova in the field of Home Affairs – Security and Migration

Location: Moldova.

Objective: The global objective of this call for proposals is to empower Moldovan civil society organisations (CSOs) to act as key contributors to the democratic and transformation of the country, in the dedicated sector of home affairs – security, migration, in close cooperation with MIA.  It aims at contributing to an inclusive, resilient and democratic society in full respect of human rights and fundamental freedoms. This call is to promote a conducive environment for CSOs by capacitating CSOs to participate meaningfully in the development of the country, the implementation of home affairs’ reforms, the accountability of law enforcement’ institutions in the context of the enlargement process – giving special attention to EU acquis. 

The specific objectives are:  

• Strengthening capacities of Moldovan CSOs to engage in in the areas of home affairs, security and migration in view to enhance dialogue between civil society and national authorities as well as between national authorities and citizens in the context of enlargement;
• In the context of the MIA modernisation process and its path toward EU Membership: strengthening the role of the civil society through reinforcing civil society’s presence, monitoring, accountability and advocating powers.
