ALDA and the Council of Europe meet 20 youth workers from across the Europe
ALDA, represented by its Coordinator of the citizenship programme Aldo Xhani, and the Council of Europe (CoE) office in Brussels welcomed today a group of 20 youth workers from across Europe to discuss and share experience on youth participation, social inclusion and youth work.
Davide Capecchi, programme manager of the “Partnership between European Commission and the Council of Europe in the field of youth” welcomed the participants, introduced the structure of the partnership programme and exchanged on how the CoE can cooperate with youth workers on topics such as participatory citizenship, peace building and intercultural learning. The event was also an opportunity to discuss about the “No hate speech” campaign and funding tools from the European Youth Foundation.
Aldo Xhani, coordinator of the citizenship programme in ALDA, showcased ALDA's actions and tools in promoting good governance and participatory citizenship at a local level, by encouraging decentralisation and the reinforcement of civil society and local authorities. A question and answer session provided participants with an opportunity to identify cooperation opportunities.
The visit took place at the office of CoE in Brussels and was an additional opportunity to reinforce the cooperation between the Council of Europe and ALDA.
