ALDATalk #5 - How to foster Intercultural Dialogue?

On April 20th at 11 am CEST ALDA will be hosting the 5th episode of the ALDA Talks webinar series and we will discuss about intercultural dialogue: ideas and opportunities. The webinar will be held by Stanka Parac Damjanovic, senior trainer expert and SEE regional programmes coordinator and consultant at ALDA.
Let's set some ground concepts. According to the Council of Europe's definition of intercultural dialogue, this is a "Dialogue between cultures, the oldest and most fundamental mode of democratic conversation, is an antidote to rejection and violence. Its objective is to enable us to live together peacefully and constructively in a multicultural world and to develop a sense of community and belonging."
The webinar will address the following topics
- intercultural cities networking
- local intercultural policies and measures
- examples of local practice in Subotica (Serbia)
- formal and informal initiatives and the role of LDAs and local CSO networks
The webinar is open to all via link registration, is held in English and lasts for about an hour including an allotted time for open debate.
