A new internship opportunity at LDA Mariupol!

Le Local Democracy Agency – LDA Mariupol is looking for young motivated interns for a 3-month part-time internship as Project Development Assistant, within the programme “Youth4Democracy”.

The incumbents, under the supervision of LDA Mariupol’s team, will support online communications with ALDA, Ukrainian and European NGOs representatives; master practical skills of business correspondence in Ukrainian and English; write and translate texts (Eng/Ukr/Rus); support fundraising activities, participate and implement projects of LDA Mariupol as well as other Ukrainian and European organizations.

Qui peut postuler?

The programme is open to senior students enrolled at Mariupol universities, graduates and active citizens under the age of 30 years old with a good knowledge of English. The perfect candidate would have a strong background in linguistics and/or international relations, excellent knowledge of Ukrainian and Russian languages and a proficient level of English, basic IT skills, flexibility, capability to work both in team and autonomously, good interpersonal approach and communication skills, interest in local democracy and active citizenships fields.

Twenty candidates will be invited to participate in the 6-day training program “Youth4Democracy”, starting in May 2019. Participants who will have successfully completed the training, will receive certificates of completion, and three candidates will be offered a 3-month internship at the Local Democracy Agency in Mariupol.

VOLS: Promoting voluntarism in EU and Western Balkans

The international training ‘’Volunteer Management in Europe’s Youth sector’’ is the main activity of the project VOLS EU – Volunteer Management in Europe’s Youth sector. The training taking place in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina from March 27th – April 3rd and is organised by the Local Democracy Agency Mostar, which is the project’s lead partner. Young representatives from 12 partner organizations from EU and Western Balkans are participating in the workshops and lectures.

The Training focuses on two key topics: volunteer management and the process of managing volunteer competencies. Its consisted of several workshops using various creative techniques and methods such as working in smaller groups, expressing our thoughts with drawings, researching and presenting to the group and many more.

The aim of the project is to promote volunteer work among young people and youth organizations, Erasmus + as a stimulus for volunteering, to empower youth workers in their efforts to encourage active (social / civic) participation of young people in promoting European values of volunteer work and improve volunteer management in partner organizations.

The trainees will have the opportunity to learn all about volunteering realities in Europe. They will learn to articulate competencies acquired through volunteering, be able to plan the learning process before local volunteering activities, learn how to facilitate and evaluate learning and acquired competencies during volunteering.
