A meeting of the project “ENSEMBLE” was held on 12 July in Monfalcone (Gorizia, Italy). The project has among its partners the FACM from Algers, the Association of Algerian Fishermen, as well as the cooperative managing the maritime reserve of Miramare, Trieste, and the Municipality of Monfalcone who leads the project, funded by the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia.

The international cooperation activity is aimed at supporting environmental preservation of maritime spaces, as well as environmental protection.

The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Monfalcone, Ms Silvia Altran, the Vice President of ALDA Alessandro Perelli, and Lucio Gregoretti, member of the Governing Board of ALDA, Rada Orescanin of the Advisory Board of the association, Nourredine Sbla, President of FACM, Hacene Hammadi of the Association of Algerian Fishermen, the President of the cooperative from Trieste Morosini, and Anne Fiorini, from the International Relations Department of the Region Rhon-Alpes, in France.

The final event of the project will take place in Algers in September, and will be connected to an initiative led by FACM on the condition of women in the country.
