During the seminar, various experts contributed their knowledge and perspectives in order to build a comprehensive proposal for a new “Road map” towards the decarbonisation.

In this regard Francesco Zarzana stressed that “ALDA is committed to bring the proposal for Apulia to the attention of the European institutions, in particular the European Commission in Brussels”. The initiative of our members was also supported by the President of ALDA, Oriano Otočan, who joined the session via Skype from the European Parliament plenary session in Strasbourg.

Under the project “Civic Observers for Health and Environment: Initiative for Responsibility and Sustainability” (COHEIRS), within the European Programme “Europe for citizens”, ALDA will be supporting the efforts of Apulia Region in the implementation of the precautionary principles, as detailed in Article 191 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (EU).
