On Tuesday 8th July 2014, at the European Parliament Press Centre in Brussels, a Press Conference was held by Europe+.

***

The meeting was an occasion to launch the newly formed civil society alliance, made up of 42 European civil society organizations. The alliance acts as a transparent and inclusive space for debate created by and for civil society, to design a constructive regeneration of the European project.

ALDA, which is member of Europe+, was represented in the Press conference by Mariam Khotenashvili, Project manager and Head of Brussels office. The alliance was presented by the representatives of some organizations that attended to the event, such as the European Movement International, the European Citizens Action Service, the European Youth Forum, the European Civic Forum, the European Confederation of Independent Trade Unions and SOLIDAR.

The Europe+ coalition has been formed to call for and accompany a process of democratic renewal in the European Union, working together on European integration, proposing significant changes in attitudes, ways of working, communicating and taking decisions, which visibly demonstrate that citizens and their interests are at the heart of the European project.
