Title: LIFE Programme – Alleviating household energy poverty and vulnerability in Europe
Date limite: 16 November 2023
Objectif: The scope of this call for proposals is to enhance the practical skills and capacity of vulnerable households, enabling them to manage their energy expenses and maintain satisfactory living conditions. Additionally, it encompasses supporting relevant stakeholders, such as public authorities, in the formulation of sustainable, sub-national strategies and frameworks aimed at alleviating energy poverty, including dedicated financing schemes targeted at improving energy performance in households facing energy poverty. Proposals are required to engage with local authorities and social organisations, and must involve the collaboration of at least three applicants from three distinct eligible countries.

Objectif: This call aims to strengthen Moldovan CSOs as independent actors of good governance and development, contributing for the development of an inclusive, participatory, empowered democratic space. It funds actions that strengthen CSOs capabilities to engage in policy dialogue, to monitor and implement EU and national development plans and programmes, promote gender equality and contribute to home affairs, security and migration issues.

Title: INTERREG Alpine Space Second Call for Classic Project Proposals

Objectif: This INTERREG’s call aims to co-finance transnational cooperation projects promoted by public and private organisations from seven Alpine countries, with the goal of fostering territorial integration. Its priorities include the implementation of innovative approaches to climate resilience and green infrastructure, achieving carbon neutrality, promoting innovation and digitalization, and enhancing institutional capacity for the cooperative management and development of the Alpine region.

Title: CEI (Central Europe Initiative) Cooperation Fund Call for Proposals 2023

Objectif: The CEI Cooperation Fund supports innovative actions favouring mobility and networking, focusing mostly on capacity building by transferring and sharing know-how (in particular, from EU CEI Member States to non-EU CEI Member States. Objectif: The objective of this call for proposals to facilitate exchanges between citizens of different countries, especially through town twinning, offering them firsthand experience of the Union’s diverse heritage as the foundation for a shared future. This call supports projects uniting individuals from twinned towns, spanning varied socio-economic backgrounds, genders, and nationalities. By engaging local and EU participants in discussions on specific European agenda items, this initiative promotes mutual understanding, inclusivity, and cultural diversity, while fostering civic engagement. Specifically, it aims to encourage cross-border exchanges, provide practical exposure to the Union’s heritage, ensure harmonious relations and active local participation, strengthen mutual comprehension among citizens, promote collaboration among municipalities, support local governance, and reinforce the role of local authorities in European integration. Applicants must be either public bodies, such as towns/municipalities and other levels of local authorities, or non-profit organisations representing local authorities, including twinning committees.

Objectif: The funding call aims to enhance networking activities between the research institutions of the Widening countries by linking it with at least two research institutions from two different countries. It expects to build on the huge potential of networking for excellence through knowledge transfer and exchange of best practice between research institutions and partners. Twinning actions intend to help raise the research profile of the institution from the Widening country as well as the research profile of its staff including a special focus on strengthening the research management and administrative skills of the coordination institution from the Widening country. The project funded are expected to contribute to close the still apparent research and innovation gap within the European Union;

Objectif: This funding call aims to increase organisations capacity to operate jointly at transnational level and develop and exchange new practice and methods. It supports both the development, transfer and/or implementation of innovative practices as well as the implementation of joint initiatives promoting cooperation, peer learning and exchanges of experience at European level. Results should be reusable, transferable, up-scalable and, if possible, have a strong transdisciplinary dimension. Objectif: The #BeInclusive EU sport Awards 2023 (hereafter referred to as the ‘Awards’) aim to reward and give visibility to the best projects that have successfully supported inclusion through sport. Projects can include disadvantaged, marginalised or underprivileged groups such as individuals with difficult social, economic or educational backgrounds, people with a disability, health problems or cultural differences, or support gender equality. and the integration of migrants and refugees. The awards will feature the following three categories: a) Promoting Gender Equality in sport “Be Equal”, b) Sport for Peace. and c) Breaking Barriers in Sport. Objectif: The aim of this call for proposals is to promote inclusive and sustainable growth in Georgia. Specifically, the objective is to enhance skills and employability by establishing durable and financially viable sectoral partnerships involving the private sector, sectoral associations, and training providers. The goal is to create sustainable collaborations that will contribute to the country’s economic development and provide better employment opportunities for its citizens.

Title: Boosting Digital Skills of young pupils, in particular girls

Objectif: The funding call aims to pilot actions to boost the number of students pursuing digital studies and careers, with a focus on increasing girls’ participation. The initiative supports collaborative efforts between technical higher education institutions, businesses, and schools to promote digital studies through hands-on activities and challenge-based projects. Additionally, the action seeks to enhance the EU Code Week initiative, extending its impact beyond the current 4 million annual participants, with nearly half being young women and girls.

Objectif: This funding call aims to support actions that promote democratic participation and civic engagement in the context of the European parliamentary elections (EE24). Title:LIFE – Energy Performance of Buildings – Creating the conditions to make renovation faster, deeper, smarter, service- and data-driven

Objectif: This topic contributes to the goals of the EU Renovation Wave strategy and aims to help implement current and future buildings policies, notably in view of the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), but considering as well aspects of the New European Bauhaus initiative.
This topic addresses several areas that are key for the achievement of the ambitious EU targets for the decarbonisation of buildings. It aims to develop and deploy approaches that bring actors, markets, frameworks and innovative solutions together to increase the attractiveness of building performance up-grades and to reduce the administrative, logistic and financial burden that still goes along with (deep) retrofitting of buildings. The topic also aims to address the need for quality data to make verification and financing more robust and to help deploy services that valorise building energy efficiency and smartness. Proposals should, where appropriate, explore synergies, while linking to, building on, complementing or promoting the market uptake of results from projects funded under other EU programmes, notably Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.

Title:LIFE – BUILD UP Skills – Upskilling and reskilling interventions enabling a decarbonised building stock and energy system integration
Date limite: 16 November 2023
Objectif: The main objective is to increase the number of skilled building professionals at all levels of the building design, operation and maintenance value chain. The focus is on the skills needed to enable the Clean Energy Transition, in particular the EU Renovation Wave, the EU Solar Energy Strategy, the Communication on Digitalising the Energy System – EU action plan, as well as the implementation of the provisions on skills as part of the Fit-for-55 package.
The topic is in line with the Pact for Skills in construction which plans to upskill and reskill overall at least 25% of the workforce of the construction industry in the next 5 years, to reach the target of 3 million workers. In addition, the topic aims to leverage synergies with the upcoming initiatives on digital skills for the energy transition addressed in the framework of the Communication on Digitalising the Energy System.

Objectif: Under the Fit for 55 Package to implement the European Green Deal, the Commission proposed a whole set of new measures to revise the main pieces of climate and energy legislation, notably the Energy Efficiency Directive, the Renewable Energy Directive and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive. The revisions will make the policy framework for sustainable energy more stringent and ambitious. While the legislative framework offers a good amount of flexibility to Member States to design the policy measures according to their needs and framework conditions, accurate monitoring, projecting and evaluation are essential elements of implementation. Importantly, the legislation is strongly interrelated and needs to be implemented and reported in an integrated, consistent way, including through the updates and implementation of the National Energy and Climate Plans, and their biannual integrated progress reports.

- Circular Economy: National or Regional Circular Economy Action Plans, Strategies, Roadmaps or similar, which are officially approved, and which include specific and measurable actions, or targets, with a clear timeline and are in line with or complementing the objectives of the EU Circular Economy Action Plan.
- Waste: National and regional Waste Management Plans pursuant to Article 28 of the Waste Framework Directive and/or Waste Prevention Programmes as requested by article 29 of the Waste Framework Directive.

Please note that the assessment of the extent to which the project is in line with the specific priorities of the call (part of Award criterion 1) will be done exclusively on the basis of the topics identified and described under section ‘Compliance with LIFE programme objectives and call topic’ of the Standard application form. Please also note that a maximum of two sub-topics will be considered (e.g.: Air quality improvement and emission reduction of PM…. solutions et par Sustainable road transport mobility….platforms.).

Title: Climate Change Adaptation
Date limite: 21 September 2023
Objectif: Projects under this strand should help to achieve the long-term vision of the new EU Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change that, in 2050, the EU will be a climate-resilient society which is fully adapted to the unavoidable impacts of climate change. Projects should help to reinforce adaptive capacity, strengthen resilience, and reduce vulnerability, in line with the Paris Agreement and the proposed European Climate Law.

Title: Implementation of the Ecodesign, Energy labelling and Tyre labelling policy

Objectif: The project aims to provide support to environmental and consumer NGOs for their representation in the preparatory process for ecodesign and energy labelling legislation. The tasks to be undertaken under this grant agreement are focused on two areas:
1) Identifying, elaborating and channelling the contribution of consumer and environmental NGOs to the preparatory work for implementing measures (including voluntary agreements) and their reviews under the Ecodesign Directive and the Energy Labelling framework Regulation (in particular during the preparatory studies’ consultation and in the Consultation Forum that will examine the draft implementing measures emerging from the studies). This includes presence in relevant stakeholder meetings, in the Consultation Forum and in other related contexts, and providing the coordinated positions from consumer and environmental organisations at those meetings. The Tyre Labelling Regulation shall also be covered by the project.
2) Ensuring tailored communication to citizens, consumer and environmental organisations of the impacts and benefits of product-specific ecodesign and energy labelling implementing measures, and providing advice to the European Commission as regards its communication activities in this policy area. The deliverables shall include regular progress reports to the Commission concerning their communication process to local, regional and national consumer and environmental organisations.

Title: Climate Governance and Information

Objectif: LIFE Climate Change Governance and Information aims at supporting the development, implementation, monitoring and enforcement of the Union legislation and policy on climate change, contributing to climate change mitigation and/or adaptation. This includes improving governance through enhancing the capacities of public and private actors and the involvement of civil society

Title: Nature & Biodiversity and Circular Economy & Quality of Life

Objectif: Based on article 11 of the LIFE Regulation 2021/783, the LIFE Multi Annual Work Programme 2021-2024, includes the possibility to finance each year a limited number of projects designed to support specific needs for the development and implementation of Union environment policy and legislation. Once a year, in consultation with Member States, the Commission makes an inventory of the specific needs regarding the development and implementation of Union environmental or climate policy and legislation that need to be addressed during the following years and identifies among them the needs that could be addressed by specific projects.
