La Secrétaire Générale de ALDA, Antonella Valmorbida, a participé à l’Université d’Automne à La Rochelle et à l’Assemblée Générale du Mouvement Européen France le 19 novembre. Elle a donné son plein appui et celui de tous les membres d’ALDA à la Déclaration approuvée au cours de l’Assemblée sur « Allons plus loin pour démocratiser l’Union Européenne » et a confirmé la volonté de toute l’équipe pour accompagner les démarches pro européenne du ME-F.

Antonella Valmorbida, experte en démocratie participative au niveau locale et animatrice depuis vingt ans d’action de participation citoyenne qui se basent sur les valeurs de l’Union Européenne (de paix, inclusion et respect des droits de l’homme et des diversités) a proposé une ligne de travail : « La citoyenneté européenne ne doit pas etre visible seulement au moment où nous franchissons les frontières. A ce moment là et si nous faisons partie du groupe des citoyens européens qui voyagent et profitent du marché commun et de la liberté de mouvement « en direct », la compréhension de la valeur ajoutée et plus facile. Mais comment traduire le bien fondée de l’Union Européenne pour ceux qui sont loin de ce genre de contexte et qui vivent une vie par obligation ou par choix, plus sédentaires.

Ils représentent la majeure partie des européens et ils produisent souvent la richesse de notre Europe. A leur égard, il faut trouver un narratif différent qui se retrouve dans leur actions quotidiennes à l’école, comme consommateurs, comme parents, comme travailleur qui ont des droits reconnus et un bien etre qui est tel parce la France est européenne et donc meilleure. Le futur de l’Europe se joue dans les communautés locales et dans la capacité de traduire dans le concret ce que porte à tous le projet européen. Il faudra savoir valoriser la dimension local sans tomber dans la trappe du localisme aveugle et destructeur ».

ALDA joins the General Assembly of the European Movement France in La Rochelle, France

On November 17th, ALDA took part for the first time in the General Assembly of the European Movement France (MEF), highlighting the importance of local dimensions in promoting European values!

ALDA joined MEF in May 2017. During the assembly, we proposed to strengthen the promotion of an European perspective by starting from the local dimension, by sharing with local authorities and communities how the concept of Europe enshrines our common values and ways of living together.

“The European added value is not only for those who are travelling and crossing border. The added value is our daily life of welfare, respect of human rights and diversities, our labour rights, our rights of consumers etc. We would not have this level and quality of life, without being a France in Europe”, said Antonella Valmorbida, Secretary General of ALDA.

Among the participants, several prominent figures such as Dario Ghisletta (lead partner, Municipality of Bellinzona), Livio Dorigo (Circolo Istria), Alessandro Perelli (Vice President of ALDA), Mario Silvestri (Municipality of Ravenna), Giuseppina Rajko (Vice President of Istria Region), Elena Bernich (Municipality of Buje), Paolo Klarić (Mayor of Brtonigla), and Umberto Ademollo, Eric Persel and Domenico Lena (respectively, LDA President, Project Coordinator and Volunteer) presented and discussed a detailed reporting on the LDA’s economic, administrative and political profile.
During the event, the project “Youth Ideas to Empower Local Democracy in Europe” was presented, alongside the activities carried out during the last year.

More importantly, the meeting revolved around joint endeavours in the promotion of events concerning the protection of EU democratic values (equality, multiculturalism, tolerance, human rights), in order to sensitise public opinion and reconcile younger generations with their social environment.

Equality and empowerment are the keywords of the launching conference of the project PARFAIT (Women’s Participation for Advancement and Innovation of Tunisia), held on 28 November in Tunis.

An incredible participation the one seen at the launching conference of the project PARFAIT, that gathered more than one hundred women from all around Tunisia to discuss about the challenges of today’s women on the Tunisian political scene.

No more dictatorship, but legal and moral inequalities are today the first enemies of the democratic process in Tunisia. This is what emerges from the conference, that saw the precious participation of high level representatives of Tunisian institutions and civil society organisations last 28 November in Tunis.

The event was opened by the welcoming speech of Antonelle Valmorbida,, Secretary General of ALDA, who gave a glance on the action of ALDA in supporting the democratic process in the country, and followed by the important contribution of Patrice Bergamini, Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union in Tunisia, who declared: “Respect, equality and citizenship are essential values we should ensure to each woman, in Tunisia and elsewhere, because we know that if provided with the right tools, women can do anything better”. The fight against every kind of violence and inequality has been at the core of the contributions by Saida Garrach, spokesperson of the President of the Republic, and Neziha Labidi, Minister of Women, Children and Family, who stressed the importance of a balanced participation of men and women on the political and social level.

Anne-Laure Joedicke, project manager of the project PARFAIT, presented the activities and goals of the project funded by the European Union, that will last two years and aims to improve women’s participation in local governance in Tunisia by giving them the means to fully integrate into public life, as voters and candidates, as well as in their role as informed, engaged and involved citizens so that the system of local decentralisation can be a success for the entire population. 180 women in 8 regions of Tunisia including the metropolitan area of Tunis, Kairouan, Jendouba, Gafsa, Kebili and Mahdia will benefit from training sessions in the framework of this project to build their capacity and promote their participation in political life.

Imed Abdeljaoued i Ayda Ben Chaabane, respectively representatives of EPD – the European Partnership for Democracy, i La Coalition pour les Femmes de Tunisie, partners of the project PARFAIT together with ALDA, presented the work of their networks, and how they completely meet the objectives of the project itself. Also Afafom Zaddemom, Delegate of the Local Democracy Agency Tunisia based in Kairouan, participated among panellists, moderating the session and contributing with her experience on the local level.

The conference saw also the contribution of three key experts in the field of women engagement. Monia Sanekli, expert on political philosophy, mentioned the several historical steps that made the difference on the juridical level towards gender equality, and stressed the importance of equality itself in order to achieve a real integration of women in the policy make decisions. Anware Mnasri, representative of the Ligue des Electrices Tunisiennes, referred to the lack of legal measures against economic violations that often affect Tunisian women, and underlined the importance of decentralisation and of working on the local and regional level to foster equal participation to the political life. Salhoua Ghrissa, Academic Researcher and Executive Director of the « Association Right to Difference » showcased campaigns and studies on the field for the awareness raising and advocacy on the integration of women in their communities.

Anna Ditta, project manager of ALDA, moderated the following activities, that saw the active participation of all people attending, opening the discussion on 5 different topics: 1) Citizen forums as tools for active participation of women; 2) The effective representation of women in politics: how to ensure it beyond the quotas; 3) How to integrate and ensure a gender dimension in local policies; 4) Participation in local elections: the problem of abstention and how to limit it; 5) Stereotypes and violence against women politicians: how to eradicate the issues.

During the discussion, equality, empowerment, decentralisation, information, awareness raising and local approach have been recognised as the solutions leading to a real democracy in the country.

On 27 November 2017, ALDA’s President Oriano Otočan signed a Memorandum of Understanding between ALDA and the United Regions Organisation – ORU Fogar, the international no-profit NGO that represents and defends Regional Governments on the world stage.

Through this MoU, ALDA and ORU Fogar will jointly carry out actions and initiatives promoting decentralization in common areas of work.

The MoU was signed during the World Forum of the Regions, celebrating the 10th anniversary of ORU Fogar, held in Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country) on 27-28 November 2017. The President of ORU Fogar Abdessamad Sekkal signed it on behalf of the association.

«Regions are facing huge challenges, from migration flows to employment, from sustainability to citizens engagement – stated ALDA’s President Oriano Otočan. – To face the new challenge represented by “recentralisation”, we think that regions need more autonomy, decentralisation, empowerment and recognition to become leaders in territorial development. We firmly believe that when power gets closer to the citizens, it delivers more citizens’ participation into the decision-making processes: that means more local democracy. For these reasons we are partnering with ORU Fogar, a key stakeholder in promoting decentralisation».

ALDA was granted a new project within the Citizens Exchange Programme of the Anna Lindh Foundation. The programme aims to stimulate the exchange between civil society organisations and to support exchange of people for grassroots expertise, fieldwork actions and awareness campaigns in the Euro-Med region. The main focus is on projects related to the core Anna Lindth themes: dialogue, diversity, democracy and development.

In this framework, ALDA will start an exchange with the organization Lam Echaml from Tunisia. From January to March 2013, ALDA and Lam Echaml will exchange their interns in order to intensify joint cooperation, which have already been established in the previous projects. ALDA’s intern Vesna Dolinšek will join the Lam Echaml team in Tunis and Cheima Ben Hmida from Lam Echaml will support our implementation office in Strasbourg.
This exchange represents a great opportunity for ALDA to strengthen and give further concreteness to its cooperation efforts in the area, to establish new partnerships and to contribute to a stronger citizens’ participation, decentralisation and civil society empowerment in the Med area.

When young activists interested in journalism and SDGs meet for the first time after months of articles and research, the magic happens! The training dedicated to LADDER’s Citizen Journalists took place in Strasbourg on 19-21 November.

More than 60 citizens and non-professional journalists coming from Europe, the European Neighbourhoods and beyond, are the protagonists of the network of Citizen Journalists of LADDER project.

The network of Citizen Journalists was set up at the beginning of 2016 with the aim of raising interest, sharing information, telling stories of good practices and denouncing situations of mismanagement to be solved about several topics. All topics are related to DEAR (Development Education & Awareness Raising) and to the implementation of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).

From education to tolerance, from clean energy to development, passing by inclusion, migration and engagement: within 2 years more than 130 articles on local actions for global impact have been shared!

A few weeks ago, an external committee of communication and advocacy officers went through the contribution of the network, selecting 18 Citizen Journalists who demonstrated a particular commitment and attention to the mission, with articles and interviews of relevant quality, sharing with us important insights from their local communities, the good practices they got in touch with, telling us the stories lived through the eyes of responsible citizens.

The 18 selected journalists, coming from 13 different countries and including 3 continents, have been invited in Strasbourg to take part in a training on communication and journalism, including the use of social media, storytelling, photo session and ethical photos. The training has been led by ALDA’s communication team, with the precious contribution of an external expert on photography, Giorgio Algeri. At the end of the training, the group attended the Final Conference of LADDER project, where they have been awarded by Antonella Valmorbida, Secretary General of ALDA, for their commitment and great performance.

Not only a training, but a real moment of exchange, growth and encounter has been the result of the Citizen Journalists training. As a long-term result, the journalists expressed their will to go on in their activity as an autonomous group of ambassadors of sustainability, beyond the end of the project itself, with a common slogan that will drive them towards next adventures: “Citizen Journalists – Together is better!”

On the 23-24 of November, ALDA hosted the first kick-off meeting of the Student Bank Project at the European Youth Center in Strasbourg, France.

The event offered the partners the opportunity to talk about the first phases of the project, the next actions to be taken and how to ensure its success. Also, this has been the first time partners’ staff has had the opportunity to meet face to face.

The Student Talent Bank is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme and focuses on promoting entrepreneurial education in secondary schools among teachers in order to prevent early school leaving, facilitate the transition from school to work and increase students’ engagement. In particular, the project targets ethnic minority and foreign-born students, as they are the more affected by these phenomena. By tackling these issues, the project will hopefully provide a spill-over effect, which will improve equity, social cohesion and active citizenship among the student’s communities.

Partners of the project are working together to develop an online platform, the Student Talent Bank, where the students may offer their services in the form of hours, getting in exchange other students’ services in a peer-to-peer system that aims to enrich all the involved pupils. The tool is particularly designed to support teachers to manage school drop-outs. In parallel with the development of this web-tool, the partners will organise training sessions aimed at school teachers, to improve their entrepreneurial competences and forge a mind-set able to actively foster school engagement.

ST Bank project is coordinated by ALDA and implemented together with other 6 partners: PLATON M.E.P.E. (Grčka), EUN(Belgija), Universidad de Valladolid i (Španjolska), Inqubator Leeuwarden (Nizozemska), Trgovac Eurocrea (Italy) and the Inspectoratul Scolar Judetean Iasi (Romania).

Le projet Student Talent Bank démarre avec une réunion de lancement !

Du 23 au 24 novembre, d’ALDA a accueilli la première réunion de lancement du projet Student Bank Project au Centre européen de la jeunesse à Strasbourg (France).

L’événement a permis aux partenaires de discuter des premières phases du projet, des prochaines actions à entreprendre et de la façon d’en assurer le succès. De plus, c’est la première fois que les équipes des partenaires ont eu l’occasion de se rencontrer en personne.

La Student Talent Bank est financée par le programme Erasmus + et se concentre sur la promotion de l’éducation entrepreneuriale dans les écoles secondaires auprès des enseignants afin d’empêcher l’abandon scolaire précoce, de faciliter la transition entre l’école et le monde du travail et d’accroître l’engagement des élèves. Le projet cible en particulier les étudiants issus de minorités ethniques ou ceux nés à l’étranger, car ils sont les plus touchés par ces phénomènes. En s’attaquant à ces questions, le projet aura, nous l’espérons, un effet boule de neige qui améliorera l’équité, la cohésion sociale et la citoyenneté active dans les communautés étudiantes.

Les partenaires du projet travaillent ensemble au développement d’une plateforme en ligne, la Student Talent Bank (Banque de Talents Étudiants), où les étudiants pourront offrir leurs services sous forme d’heures, en échangeant les services d’autres étudiants dans un système pair à pair qui vise à enrichir tous les élèves impliqués. L’outil est particulièrement conçu pour aider les enseignants à gérer les abandons scolaires. Parallèlement au développement de cet outil en ligne, les partenaires organiseront des sessions de formation destinées aux enseignants scolaires, afin d’améliorer leurs compétences entrepreneuriales et de forger une mentalité capable de favoriser activement l’engagement scolaire.

Lancio del progetto Student Talent Bank

Il 23-24 novembre, ALDA ha organizzato il primo evento del progetto Student Bank presso lo European Youth Center a Strasburgo, in Francia.

L’evento ha offerto ai partner l’opportunità di discutere del progetto e di come portare avanti tutte le iniziative preiste. Si è trattato della prima occasione di conoscersi di persona per i rappresentanti di tutti gli enti coinvolti.

Student Talent Bank è finanziato dal programma europeao Erasmus+ e il suo focus è lo sviluppo dell’educazione imprenditoriale nelle scuole secondarie tra gli insegnanti per prevenire l’abbandono prematuro della scuola, facilitando la transizione dalla scuola al lavoro e incrementando il coinvolgimento degli studenti. In particolare, il progetto intende coinvolgere rappresentanti di minoranze etniche e studenti nati all’estero, maggiormente interessati dal fenomeno. Il progetto intende creare un effetto virtuoso a cascata, aumentando l’eguaglianza, la coesione sociale e la partecipazione attiva tra le comunità degli studenti.

I partner del progetto stanno lavorando allo sviluppo di una piattaforma online, la Student Talent Bank, dove gli studenti potranno offrire i propri servizi sotto forma di ore, ottenendo in cambio servizi diversi da altri studenti in un sistema di scambio da pari a pari che beneficerà tutti i ragazzi coinvolti. Lo strumento è pensato in particolare per supportare gli insegnanti ad affrontare il fenomeno dell’abbandono scolastico. In parallelo allo sviluppo di questo strumento, i partner organizzeranno sessioni di formazione rivolte agli insegnanti, affinché possano migliorare le proprie competenze imprenditoriali e plasmare una mentalità capace di incoraggiare il coinvolgimento scolastico.

Проект Студенческого Банка Талантов начался со стартового собрания!

23-24 ноября ALDA провела первое совещание в рамках проекта студенческого банка талантов в Европейском молодежном центре в Страсбурге, Франция.

Мероприятие предоставило партнерам возможность поговорить о первых этапах проекта, о следующих действиях и о том, как обеспечить его успех. Кроме того, это был первый случай, когда сотрудники партнеров имели возможность встретиться лицом к лицу.

Студенческий банк талантов финансируется программой Erasmus+ и фокусируется на поощрении предпринимательского образования в средних школах среди учителей, чтобы предотвратить выход из школы в раннем возрасте, облегчить переход от школы к работе и расширить участие учащихся. В частности, проект нацелен на учащихся из числа этнических меньшинств и иностранных граждан, поскольку они в большей степени затронуты этими явлениями. Решая эти проблемы, проект, мы надеемся, обеспечит дополнительный эффект, который улучшит справедливость, социальную сплоченность и активное гражданство среди сообществ учащихся.

Партнеры проекта совместно работают над созданием онлайн-платформы – Студенческого Банка Талантов, где студенты смогут предлагать свои услуги в виде часов, получая взамен услуги других студентов в одноранговой системе, целью которой является обогащение всех участвующих учеников. Этот инструмент, в частности, предназначен для поддержки учителей для управления отсевом учащихся. Параллельно с разработкой этого веб-инструмента, партнеры будут организовывать учебные занятия, направленные на школьных учителей, повышать их предпринимательскую компетентность и «создавать умы», способные активно стимулировать участие в школе.

Проект СБТ координируется ALDA и реализуется совместно с 6 партнерами: PLATON M.E.P.E. (Греция), EUN (Бельгия), Universidad de Valladolid (Испания), Inqubator Leeuwarden (Голландия), Trgovac Eurocrea (Италия) и Inspectoratul Scolar Judetean Iasi (Румыния).

Započinje projekat Student Talent Bank!

Od 23. do 24. novembra, ALDA je bila domaćin prvom sastanku projekta Student Talent Bank u Evropskom omladinskom centru u Strazburu, u Francuskoj.

Ovaj događaj ponudio je partnerima mogućnost da razgovaraju o prvim fazama projekta, narednim koracima koje treba preduzeti, kao i kako osigurati njihov uspeh. Takođe, ovo je bilo prvi put da su partneri imali priliku da se sastanu licem u lice, kako bi se dogovarali o planu aktivnosti projekta.

Student Talent Bank finansira Erasmus + program i fokusira se na promovisanje preduzetničkog obrazovanja u srednjim školama među nastavnicima kako bi se sprečilo rano napuštanje školovanja, olakšalo upoznavanje sa svetom rada i povećalo angažovanja učenika. Konkretno, projekat se odnosi na učenike iz grupa etničkih manjina i učenika rođenih u drugoj zemlji , jer su one više pogođene ovim pojavama. Rešavanjem ovih pitanja, nadamo se da će projekat doprineti povećanju jednakosti, socijalnoj koheziji i aktivnom građanstvu među studentskim zajednicama.

Partneri projekta će raditi na izradi online platforme – Student Talent Bank, gde učenici mogu ponuditi svoje usluge u vidu sati, razmenjujući druge studentske usluge u sistemu koji ima za cilj obogatiti sve učesnike. Alat je posebno osmišljen da podrži nastavnike u njihovoj borbi sa ranim napuštanjem škole od strane učenika. Paralelno sa razvojem ovog veb alata, partneri će organizovati treninge usmerene na nastavnike škole, poboljšati svoje preduzetničke kompetencije i razviti sposobnost da aktivno podstiču školski angažman.

مشروع بنك مواهب الطالب ينطلق بعقد اللقاء الأول

احتضنت ألدا, خلال الفترة 23-24 نوفمبر (جمادى الثاني), اللقاء الأول الخاص بمشروع بنك مواهب الطالب, المنتظم بالمركز الأوروبي للشباب, في مدينة ستراسبورغ الفرنسية

استغل الشركاء فرصة هذا اللقاء لإقامة حوار حول المراحل الأولى للمشروع والأنشطة التي سوف تنجز مع الإشارة إلى طريقة تأمين النجاح لها.  كما أتاحت هذه التظاهرة للشركاء الفرصة الأولى لكي يلتقوا بشكل مباشر ووجها لوجه.

يركز بنك مواهب الطالب, الذي يحضى بتمويل من قبل برنامج إيرسمس +, جهوده على ثقافة ريادة الأعمال لدى أساتذة مؤسسات التعليم الثانوي بالذات, بهدف منع التسرب المدرسي المبكر وتأمين الانتقال السلس من المدرسة إلى سوق الشغل , مع السعي إلى تكريس الشعور بالمسؤولية لدى الطالب. هذا المشروع موجه بالأساس إلى الأقليات العرقية والطلبة المولودين بالخارج بصفتهم الفئة الأكثر استضعافا وتأثرا بهذه الظاهرة. من خلال إثارتهم لهذه القضايا, يأمل القائمون على هذا المشروع في خلق آثار جانبية تمكن من تحسين الوضع على مستوى المساواة والانصهار الاجتماعي والمواطنة النشطة والفاعلة بين مختلف مجموعات الطلبة.

يعمل الشركاء في هذا المشروع معا لإرساء منصة ألكترونية خاصة ببنك مواهب الطالب يمكن استغلالها من قبل الطلبة لعرض خدماتهم في شكل ساعات مع الحصول, في المقابل, على خدمات الطلبة الآخرين, في شكل منظومة تعاون بين النظراء, تهدف إلى إثراء المعرفة لدى الطلبة المعنيين وبناء قدراتهم. تم تصميم هذه الأداة أساسا لمساعدة الأساتذة على التعامل الإيجابي والناجع مع ظاهرة التسرب المدرسي. بالتوازي مع تطوي هذهر الأداة الألكترونية, يتولى الشركاء تنظيم دورات تدريبية موجهة للمدرسين يكون الهدف منها تمكينهم من تحسين مهاراتهم في مجال ريادة الأعمال  واكتساب عقلية جديدة تحث الطلبة على اعتماد المبادرة والانضمام إلى كافة الأنشطة التي يدعو إليها المشروع.
