In the year of ALDA’s 20th anniversary, we decided to organise a special dedicated Festival -or FestivALDA if you like puns!- to celebrate our achievements across Europe and beyond with our members and…potential new members! This will take place in Pula, Croatia, on May 25th and 26th, and will be followed by our General Assembly on May 27th, 2020.

The Festival will be an occasion to especially show our gratitude to all of our members for the crucial support they have been giving our mission to this day: thanks to their invaluable help, ALDA was able to grow stronger and have an effective impact all over the enlarged European neighbourhood.

With the aim to give something back, FestivALDA will hence be an interactive moment where all participants will have the chance to step forward and better get to know one another, the ALDA staff, LDA representatives, CSOs, Universities, Research Institutes and all other ALDA partners, all coming from a variety of countries.

And it isn’t just about networking: this year, we would like to give everybody the official opportunity to share their expertise and ideas, good practices and results with our wide network! This will be structured in two ways:

A) WORKSHOP SESSIONS – open to everyone

Hold a workshop session and gain visibility! You can choose whether to do an interactive workshop, a networking activity, a performance or a video projection. Each session should last between 60 and 90 minutes, with the core theme being active citizenship applied to the following fields:

• Good Governance
• Youth
• Environment and Sustainability
• Social Inclusion
• Engagement for the Future of Europe

B) MARKETPLACE – for Local or Regional Authorities only

FestivALDA will include a marketplace where you will have the chance to showcase your products, display your activities and mission/strategy by holding a stand. Take this chance to find new connections and make your reality more known!

In both cases, we encourage all interested members and non-members alike to submit their ideas by filling in the appropriate form (below) by May 17th, 2020. The best applications will be selected to be actively involved into the Festival!
