A delegation composed by ALDA’s Secretary General Antonella Valmorbida, MED area Coordinator Anne-Laure Joedicke, and Observing Expert of the Governing Board Mohammed Salhi, Ambassador for northern Africa, is visiting our members in Morocco, discussing joint initiatives, and seizing the opportunities for the establishment of the first Local Democracy Agency (LDA) in the country.

The delegation visited representatives of the Region Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, of the City of Tanger and the City of Tetouan, member of ALDA, as well as the City of Chefchaouen, potential partner of the upcoming LDA Morocco.
A meeting hosted by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Rabat V University, member of ALDA, was dedicated to the discussion about priorities in the field of local governance and development, as well as to the “Chart on local democracy” developed in the framework of the project LADDER – Local Authorities as Drivers for Development Education and Raising awareness.
