Only a couple days are left to register to the workshop ‘Rational use of water and energy – How to promote citizens participation to decision-making processes?’.
The international workshop will take place in Forte Marghera, Venezia (Italy), on Wednesday 22 May, 10:00 to 17:00.
Sustainable management of water and energy supplies requires joint initiatives among institutions and citizens, in order to agree on efficient measures.
What are the processes which help involving the population, and participate to decision-making? What do citizens ask to local authorities? And what are the main obstacles to dialogue and participation on environment-related topics?
The workshop will focus on these topics through the innovative methodology Open Space Technology, which creates an informal environment similar to the coffee break one, stimulating participants to discuss what they are interested in, with people who share their interest, and for the time necessary to the discussion.

Participants will be empowered to suggest specific topics, share experiences and best practices, and dialogue with other interested people. It will therefore be an occasion to experiment concrete, new ways to involve stakeholders and policy makers in the choices related to a more careful use of natural resources at a local level, as well as to explore the ideas and experiences of the other networks and people participating.

Linguistic facilitators will support the interaction among Italian and international participants. If you would like to volunteer as a linguistic facilitator, please email cinzia.spinazze@aldaintranet.org

The workshop is part of the event ‘5 GIORNATE PER LE COMUNITA’ MEDITERRANEE’, organized by FISPMED
