The first of four trainings that will be realized between 23 November and 7 December is in progress. Representatives of local authorities and civil society organizations are in Bitola at the moment to attend the training “Tools for local democracy”, which is implemented within the project “CSOs making local democracy work”.

Three more trainings will follow for an overall of 120 representatives of LAs and CSOs. The trainings will focus on several topics, such as useful tools for local democracy, budgeting and transparency when managing local funds, financing CSOs with budgets from LAs and project cycle management and EU funds.
Guest speakers at the official opening of the series of trainings were the Mayor of the Municipality of Novaci, Mr Ljube Kuzmanovski and Ms Kaliopa Krivashija Stilinovik, honorary consul of France in the Republic of Macedonia. During the training, an info-session for the sub-granting scheme in the project was also held.
The series of trainings is organized within the project “CSOs making local democracy work”, financed by the European Union through the IPA programme for civil society and media programme 2015. The trainings were supported by the Decentralized cooperation between Normandy and Macedonia.
