Support and vote for the project of “Sur les pas d’Albert Londres” Association!

Every year, the Association “Sur les pas d’Albert Londres”, in a partnership with Pays Vichy-Auvergne, gives the opportunity to young people from France and other nationalities to share a common experience on the creation of reports (videos, audios, articles, web, photos, etc.), trying to improve the interactivity between the different media.

***

Reports are realized in France or abroad, they are about different issues, giving the possibility to the creators to grow from an educational and professional point of view, and they are uploaded every day on the website.

It aims to stimulate the participants’ interest in adventure, curiosity, openness to others, and it gives them the opportunity to share different point of view about the world, developing a peaceful and cooperative culture between the young participants, coming from different countries.

The theme of last year, realized by the Association “Sur les pas d’Albert Londres”, has been called “autour du Tour”, and it was about the countries involved in the Tour the France.

This project is involved in the competition for the trophies of EDF Foundation, and the Association “Sur les pas d’Albert Londres” invites all of us in supporting and voting for their project!

One voice a day to vote for Europe! #1perDay

One month away from the European Parliament elections, ALDA launches a campaign to get our members’ voices heard on why we all have to get out of the sofa and vote for Europe.

***

How can we involve all European citizens to vote for Europe? ALDA, as well as many other key organisations, have already explained it out loud. In the month preceeding the elections, we launch our #1perDay campaign, giving voice to one of our members every day to tell why we should all vote, from their point of view.

Follow the campaign on our social media, on Twitter (@ALDAeurope) with the hashtag #1perDay

The first contribution was by Federico Brunelli, Director of the Institute Altiero Spinelli. “If you want to change Italy, vote for Europe!”

10 years after the big enlargement, ALDA celebrates with citizens' voices and experiences

Ten years ago, on 1 May 2014, almost 75 million citizens from 10 countries became EU citizens.

In spite of Euro skepticism and all legitimate criticism to the European project, the so called big enlargement greatly contributed to the social and economic growth of those countries – Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. At the same time, it reunified a formerly divided Europe and greatly benefitted to the countries which were already part of the Union.

The world would not stop running without Europe, but we are convinced that we all need to fight for the survival of the European project, as all other possible scenarios are simply worse under all respects – social standards, culture, economy, democracy. That’s why we all need to vote pro Europe at the upcoming elections.

ALDA officially celebrated the 10 years since the big enlargement on 5 June at the Council of Europe, when we will present the experiences and words of those who became EU citizens in 2014 with the presence of the ambassadors of the countries involved.
