Art, theatre and improvisation have a better impact with children
For many of us, the summer 2020 will be remembered as a summer like no other in recent history. Despite the changes
caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, luckily the implementation of projects’ activities didn’t stop.
Therefore, the association DRPDNM from Novo Mesto (https://www.facebook.com/DRPDNM), Slovenia, organized safe
outdoors events involving local youth, all within the framework of the project IMPACT. Together with the local partner
Association for development of creative movement ‘Arabeska’, several workshops were held, which saw the participation of
immigrant and Roma children. The activity had an overall positive impact on the community, since being together help
boosting the self-esteem and provide a sense of meaning. The youngsters were able to express their passion for art and to
develop their artistic competencies, as also confirmed by Klara Magič Luneai, who joined the workshops: “Artistic expression
in this way infuses self-confidence and is available as creative expression which has a positive impact on self-esteem.’’
The workshops took place on different locations and most of the activities were performed through the technique of
improvisation, which was taught to children, thus enabling them to freely express feelings and emotions. A similar activity
was organised during last year’s training in Italy, but as a matter of fact, working with children can give better results as they
generally are more keen on building trust and connection within a given group of people.
Further workshop session will be prepared and implement during the autumn 2020,… stay tuned!

a tema “La programmazione europea 2021-2027: un bilancio come motore della ripresa dal Covid-19”, organizzato da
StudioCentroProgetti srl, Centro Produttività Veneto (https://www.cpv.org/) e ALDA (https://www.alda-europe.eu/) con il
patrocinio della Regione Veneto.
Guidato dal formatore esperto di ALDA Marco Boaria, il workshop si incentra sulle nuove opportunità di
europrogettazione per imprese e professionisti con un focus sulla ripresa: per rispondere alle conseguenze
economiche e sociali della pandemia di Covid-19, infatti, il 27 maggio 2020 la Commissione Europea
(https://ec.europa.eu/info/index_en) ha proposto un bilancio a lungo termine che comprende uno strumento di emergenza
per la ripresa, Next Generation EU (https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_20_940), inteso a contribuire
e riparare i danni immediati causati dalla pandemia di Covid-19.
Il workshop ha l’obiettivo di presentare tali strumenti, aiutando i partecipanti ad orientarsi e prepararsi alle nuove sfide per
essere pronti, in tempo utile, a contribuire alla suddetta ripresa anche con il supporto dei nuovi fondi previsti per il periodo

Un forum per promuovere il turismo regionale in Georgia
On August 21st, 2020, the Local Democracy Agency Georgia (https://www.alda-europe.eu/newSite/lda_dett.php?id=11) held
the Forum of Regional Tourism of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti in Ambrolauri, with the aim of promoting the tourism
and the agro-touristic opportunities of the region.
Among the guests present at the Forum, we mention Danielle Meuwly Regional Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in
Southern Caucasus; Anna Chernyshova, UNDP Deputy Resident Representative in Georgia; Mzia Giorgobiani, Deputy
Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia; Giorgi Gonadze, Deputy of Acting state representative of
Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti region; Dimitri Khorava, Head of Investment Department at partnership fund; Medea
Janiashvili, Deputy head of the National Tourism Administration of Georgia; David Melua, Executive Director of the National
Association of Local Governments.
The first part of the event was dedicated to panel speeches, focused on the future of tourism in Georgia, the main
challenges after covid-19 and the high potential in tourism of the Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti region.
The second half of the Forum was dedicated to the exhibition-sale of products crafted by local entrepreneurs and
farmers, while a dedicated space was arranged to showcase the works of local artists and craftsmen, everything
accompanied by the music played by local folk groups.
Regional Tourism Forum of Racha-Lechkhumi Lower Svaneti was organized by LDA Georgia within the framework of the
project “Racha-Lechkhumi and lower Svaneti Regional Development Initiative”, which is undertaken within the United Nations
Development Programme (UNDP) “Fostering Regional and Local Development-Phase 2” project, with the financial support of
the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC), the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC) and the Government
of Georgia.

announce the launch of the 2020-2021 edition, with many exciting new topics to debate! An inside look at the core of our

Throughout the programme, the speakers will touch upon several different subjects mostly related to the focus of projects
and activities that we are running together with our network. With the aim to share ideas and best practices, we will discuss
inclusion in different spheres of life, gender equality, but also art as a channel to promote social inclusion and revitalize the
cities we live in. In an investigation of the extremely current topics of fake news & digital literacy, we will share tools to raise
awareness on online information; and, by delving into the topic of clean energy and circular economy, our speakers will
analyse the means we have at hand to reduce waste and consumption in order to make our planet a better place.
This new webinar series will be an excellent opportunity for all speakers and participants to explore best practices as well as
the achievements obtained by our members and networks through different experiences; and at the end of each talk we’ll
give YOU the floor, for you to ask your questions and offer your inputs and opinions on the subject!

After a presentation of the project European Platform of Integrating Cities (EPIC) , which addresses the challenges of the integration of migrants by targetingmedium-sized cities that have the need to develop expertise in different areas, SSF will present the services, managed incollaboration with the Municipality of Alcorcon, designed to implement the job employment rate within migrants’communities. After the success of the first ALDATalks series, we are glad to announce the launch of the 2020-2021 edition, with many exciting new topics to debate! An inside look at the core of our projects while sharing the expertise of our members and partners. Want to discover more? Have a look at our calendar!
Throughout the programme, the speakers will touch upon several different subjects mostly related to the focus of projects and activities that we are running together with our network. With the aim to share ideas and best practices, we will discuss inclusion in different spheres of life, gender equality, but also art as a channel to promote social inclusion and revitalize the cities we live in. In an investigation of the extremely current topics of fake news & digital literacy, we will share tools to raise awareness on online information; and, by delving into the topic of clean energy and circular economy, our speakers will analyse the means we have at hand to reduce waste and consumption in order to make our planet a better place.
This new webinar series will be an excellent opportunity for all speakers and participants to explore best practices as well as the achievements obtained by our members and networks through different experiences; and at the end of each talk we’ll give YOU the floor, for you to ask your questions and offer your inputs and opinions on the subject!
