Call for External Evaluator - WE ACT project

Nell'ambito del progetto WE ACT project, the project consortium is looking for an External Evaluator to conduct monitoring and evaluation activities.
Among main tasks and responsibilities:
- Providing support to the drafting of the M&E plan and Logical Framework
- Carrying 1 mid-term evaluation, including consortium evaluation (3 sub-evaluations: one per each partner) and qualitative evaluation among the women and CSOs benefitting from the capacity building activities. The mid-term evaluation meeting is scheduled in correspondence with the mid-term event to assess the internal coordination among the partners and impact on the capacity building activities
- Carrying 1 final evaluation, including consortium evaluation (3 sub-evaluations: one per each partner) and qualitative evaluation among women beneficiaries and beneficiaries of the sub-granting schemes (local CSOs). The final evaluation is scheduled at the same time of the final conference and will involve the major stakeholders and addressing also the target groups and final beneficiaries of the action
Among the skills required:
- Evaluation experience in relation to multi-stakeholder partnerships
- Experience of working with European programmes
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Perfect command of both Turkish and English languages, and ability to draft qualitative reports in English
Among the transversal skills required:
- Strong interest in issues related to gender equality and policies, electoral matters and political participation
- Neutrality and respect for the plurality of opinions
- Background knowledge on the Turkish local governance context
- Excellent communication skills

From June 2023 until July 2025.

Project assistant (part-time): women participation in local elections in Türkiye

ALDA is looking for a project manager (part-time) based in Türkiye (ideally in Istanbul) who will work under the supervision of the Project Coordinator.
Among the main tasks:

ALDA is looking for a ‘Project Manager’ in different fields, based in ALDA’s office in Vicenza (Italy), Brussels (Belgium) or Strasbourg (France), starting as soon as possible. He/she will work under the supervision of ALDA’s Secretary General, the Head of the Implementation Unit and/or the EU Coordinator.
Among main tasks and responsibilities:
- To be responsible for all the activities concerning project implementation;
- To be responsible of the subgrants as contact person who overviews the subgrants both in terms of activitiesand budget;
- To plan and implement the action plan of the project, organising events and other initiatives described in theprogramme;
Among the skills needed:
- Strong project management skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Among the education, languages and tools required:
- University degree;
- Professional experience;
- Languages: English professional working proficiency. French and Italian language is an asset;

Grants manager - Youth Participation in Public Affairs

The EU-funded YPPA project aims to improve the enfranchisement, empowerment, and inclusion of youth in all levels of democratic participation at the national, regional and global scales. YPPA’s three-pronged approach is informed by the need for youth engagement and inclusion not only at national level, but beyond and above it. Young people view politics not as bounded by borders but cutting across them, as waves of trans-border youth movements during the Arab Spring and Colour Revolutions show well, while the most pressing challenges for youth –such as climate change, digitalisation or the job market– bring a global and regional scope into national politics.
Among main tasks and responsibilities:
- Accompany youth organisations or grassroot organisations working on youth in Africa in the project development phase, through coaching and mentoring meetings, both online and offline
- Regularly monitor the project implementation of the eventually contractualised projects, including administrative and financial support, and in general by coaching the participating organisation whenever necessary, and maintain a mentoring relationship.
Among the skills needed:
- Project development skills, in particular EU project development
- Strong project management skills, in particular EU project management, in terms of activities implementation and budget management
- Proved experiences and capacity to coach and lead the grassroot organisations
Among the education, languages and tools required:
- University degree in any field relevant to the position (international relations, diplomacy, project development/management, etc.)
- Professional experience in any field relevant to the position
- Perfect command of both English and French – both written and spoken (any additional language, particularly Arabic or other languages widely spoken in the African continent, is a plus).
