From 23rd to 26th of February, ALDA was in Tbilisi, Georgia, to deliver the second part of trainings, implemented with NALAG, the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia, and the LDA Georgia, in the framework of project “Mobilised civil society for local democracy”. Three trainings were implemented by ALDA and one by NALAG.
The trainers, Irene Zanetti and Ivana Dimitrovska from ALDA, and Paula Rauzan, Delegate of LDA Sisak (Croatia) and member of ALDA Governing Board, delivered trainings to a group of 36 representatives of Georgian CSOs, in order to improve their capacity of monitoring local government reform and of representing the interests of local communities at the national level.
On 23rd February, also the official inauguration of the new office of the LDA Georgia, in Kutaisi, took place. Mrs Nino Tvaltvadze, the LDA Delegate, Paula Rauzan, Delegate of the LDA Sisak, the President of GAYLA, as well as the Mayor of Kutaisi and some 40 participants attended the ceremony.
