The 16th edition of the Summit of la Francophonie was held from the 22 to the 27 November 2016, in Madagascar.

State leaders and government officials of the Francophone family countries, where French is a common language, reflected on their perspectives of: “Shared Growth and Responsible Development: Conditions for Stability around the world and within the Francophone”.
Our colleague Katica Janeva from the ALDA office in Skopje participated in the Summit as a member of both, the official Macedonian delegation and drafting committee of the Francophone Youth Declaration. She had an opportunity to take part in various sessions of the La Francophonie Permanent Council, the Ministerial Conference and the Summit of Heads of State and Government.
The 16th Summit of la Francophonie is the first summit to integrate young people into delegations as well as in the decision-making bodies of La Francophonie.
