“Civil society participation in the Western Balkans and its role in the EU Enlargement process”: this is the title of the event organized by Transeuropa Balkans and Caucasus Observatory in collaboration with Marche Region and the European Commission – Directorate General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. The Policy Dialogue in question will be held in Ancona on Monday 24 October from 10.00 to 13.00.
***
Civil society organizations have a central role in facilitating the Enlargement policy in their respective countries, in explaining the European integration process to a local audience and in monitoring the implementation of reforms. EU institutions have put in place important programs to help accelerate the process, particularly – though not exclusively – through the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA).
The meeting intends to offer a place of confrontation to discuss the role of civil society in the process of accession to the EU of the Western Balkans.
The working language will be Italian. About 40 places are available. Please send confirmation of participation by filling out the registration form
