The training is part of the projects “Sisak Volunteer’ Network” and “Volunteer’ Centre Sisak” which LDA Sisak implements in partnership with City of Sisak and Centre for Social Welfare Sisak, Culture Home “Cristal cube of serenity” and Sisak Tourist Board. The training gathered 23 persons from 14 different associations and institutions in Sisak area. It was conducted by Mrs Jela Prgić Znika from the Volunteer Centre Zagreb and Mrs Paula Raužan from the LDA Sisak, on the premises offered by Centre for Social Welfare and Home for elderly and dependence people.
Participants were familiarised with the concept and values of volunteering, systematic approaches to manage the work of volunteers and to support them in developing competences required. Besides capacity building, the training has opened new cooperation opportunities for the future high-quality volunteer programs, focused on improvement of the life quality of the vulnerable and marginalised groups. All volunteer coordinators of the training will receive the Certificates of Qualification.
Participants say about the training:
“Getting new contacts and meeting other stakeholders of our community is a valuable experience. It is important for networking, as well as for the further development of volunteering and volunteer programs.” – Ivona Hodak, Head of Children Home Vrbina.
“Excellent education. I, do, look forward to the future cooperation!” – Sadika Nazić, Children Home Vrbina.
“It was interesting and inspiring, I learned a lot! Keep me in the loop!” – Marijana Milas, Gymnasium Sisak.
