The documentary and website “Portraits of Macedonia” was publicly presented on Wednesday, 24 January at the French Institute in Skopje. H. E. Christian Thimonier, Ambassador of France in Macedonia, Sébastien Botreau Bonneterre, Cooperation Attaché to the French Embassy, Katica Janeva, Director of ALDA Skopje, Sarah Froment and Corentin Praud, volunteers in EVS at ALDA Skopje, spoke at the launch event.

Portraits of Macedonia is a website and documentary showing public places seen from the citizens’ point of view. It seeks to outline a broad, complex and unique vision of Macedonia and its citizens in all their diversity.
The fifteen interviews, audio tracks and photographs are broadcast on an interactive map where everyone can contribute and help enrich the project. In a few figures, it’s eight hours of content, accessible in three languages (French, English and/or Macedonian), from Macedonians aged twenty to seventy, from three cities, Stip, Kavadarci and Skopje.
The project was carried out by Sarah Froment and Corentin Praud, European Voluntary Service Volunteers (EVS) at ALDA Skopje within the project “Youth for Europe”, and was made possible thanks to the financial support of the ERASMUS+ programme.
