
The international seminar titled “Open government: principles, methods, and ICT open source tools” was wrapped up today with a visit to the Department of cooperation with the NGOs in the City of Skopje.
The event also included an open conference and a workshop for the project partners. The conference was officially opened by Sasa Bogdanovic, Mayor of Municipality of Centar, Dejan Pavleski, Deputy Minister for Local Self-Government and Pavle Bogoevski, Member of the Parliament.
“The municipalities need to be a bridge between the citizens and the CSOs in order to have better capacities”, the Mayor of Municipality of Centar stated during the opening.
The event is the first international event organized within the project RECOV – Rethinking collaborative values for public services. The purpose of the event was to present good practices of using digital tools that the public institutions can use to be more open, focusing on the usage of new technologies.
The European Association for Local Democracy – ALDA organized the event together with the Municipality of Centar, the lead partner of the project. The project is financed through the programme Europe for Citizens.
