The conference “Sarajevo-Aleppo: wars, refugees, cooperation” organized by the LDA Zavidovici and the Association for the Embassy of Local Democracy in Zavidovici will be held in Turin on Friday, November 18.

The event, organized in collaboration with the social cooperative I.So.La and the Institute of Social Research – Digspes – University of Eastern Piedmont, with the participation of the Center for Studies for Peace, will offer a moment of reflection, discussion and analysis on the themes of cooperation and reception, starting from the Yugoslav context of the ’80s and ’90s until today.

How has Europe changed? What good practices implemented in Europe twenty years ago can still be implemented in today’s context? Many guests will participate in the debate contributing to the reflection on the similarities between Sarajevo yesterday and Aleppo today, in terms of management of reception and support to refugees.

ALDA, which has always supported the actions of the LDA Zavidovici, and has played an important role in cooperation and dialogue in the Balkans, will participate in the event.

The event will be held Friday, November 18 at 17.00 at the Polo del ‘900 in Turin. All interested parties are invited to attend.
