Trainings on Freedom of Expression and Privacy on the Internet
A Training of Macedonian and French Trainers on the topics of Freedom of Expression and Privacy on the Internet is taking place in Caen, France (from 17 to 19 June 2014).
The Freedom of Expression and Privacy on the Internet is a very popular and somewhat controversial subject of today’s culture and the need for discussions and debates on an intercultural higher level is indisputable.
The goal of this training is to share knowledge and experiences on various aspects of protection of human rights online. The participants are a network composed of human rights experts, digital rights activists, and secondary and primary school teachers from Macedonia and France. The objective of this training is that the trained teachers will then work on expanding the network within their respective countries, training more of their colleagues and organizing public education events reaching out to the students and the general public.
The Freedom of Expression and Privacy on the Internet is most important for the youth that is why the curriculum of this training will focus on examining various pedagogical approaches on an international level in order to bring these topics closer to the students in Macedonia and France.
The training is part of the project “The Youth have rights on the Internet” supported by the Decentralized cooperation between Lower Normandy and Macedonia, coordinated by ALDA.
It is co-organized by the Metamorphosis Foundation from Skopje and the International Human Rights Institute for Peace from Caen.
