Seminar of TIE project in Paris on 9-10 July
European Alternatives, in strong cooperation with ALDA, Libera and other eight European organisations from across Europe, launch the Seminar on “Tax evasion and financial criminality in Europe”.
The event will be taking place next 9-10 July 2014 in Paris at Maison des Associations de Solidarité. It will bring together representatives of national institutions, civil society associations, academics, magistrates and journalists to discuss and exchange best practices on the fight against financial and economic crime and the reuse of illicit assets.
The seminar will be a further step in the fight against crime within the framework of the project TIE – Tackling Illegal Economies. supported by the EU Prevention of and Fight against Organised Crime Programme (ISEC). The aim of the project is to create grounds for cooperation between the judiciary, media, civil society and academia in Europe in identifying and promoting ways to undermine the profitability of crime by means of the aggression to criminal assets.
