Recruiting a delegate to the future LDA Moldova
Upcoming Local Democracy Agency Cimișlia, Moldova is calling for a strong leader, who will be in charge of the agency and strategy implementation. Start in February, 2017.
In 2016, ALDA together with partners did an incredibly challenging but important preparatory work towards the Local Democracy Agency in Moldova. LDAs are self-sustainable, locally registered NGOs that act as promoters of good governance and accountable local self-government. Currently, there are 13 established LDAs in the EU and its neighbourhood. After opening, LDA Moldova will work to make a positive impact on the local communities, improving the quality of life through a better democracy.
The delegate, who is the coordinator and representative of the agency, will conduct activities and actions for the promotion of local democracy and the citizens' participation in the country. He/She will be closely working with the European Association for Local Democracy (ALDA), LDA partners, local governments of Moldova, Civil Society Organizations and other relevant stakeholders.
“I am confident that the future Local Democracy Agency in Cimișlia will be a crucial point for the development of our region, greatly benefitting our communities”, said the Mayor of Cimișlia.
