Profound support from LDA Montenegro to local partners
Call for proposals in the framework of the Interreg CBC program Italy - Albania – Montenegro was closed on 30 May, 2017.
As each project must involve at least one partner from all three countries, the trilateral program has provided a great opportunity for the involvement of Montenegrin institutions and organizations in this call. LDA Montenegro together with its partners in Italy and Albania, large number of municipalities and non-governmental organizations from these countries had the opportunity to take part in 7 projects.
In this process, LDA Montenegro had mediated between the mentioned partners from Italy and Albania (Municipality of Tricase - ITA, Municipality Compobasso - ITA, Municipality Curtofiano - ITA, Municipality of Salve (ITA), the Municipality of Cellino San Marco (ITA), the Center for Economic Development and Cooperation (ALB ), Mediterranean University of Tirana, EDSF Foundation (ALB) and numerous other partners) and partners in Montenegro, such as the municipality Herceg Novi, Bar, Ulcinj, Kotor and Bijelo Polje, where they have offered somewhat of 28 projects and all municipalities and other institutions / organizations have the opportunity to join, either as partners or as lead applicant. On this occasion there were established minimum of 10 partnerships, and with the possibility of obtaining 2 million euros for projects to be implemented in Montenegro in the field of social protection, economy, ecology, tourism and so on.
In this way, the Local Democracy Agency Montenegro provides systematic support to municipalities and other stakeholders from the public and civil sector for more organized performance and more efficient use of funds to improve the quality of life of citizens.
In future, Agency will continue to work to build partnerships with the aim of improving the work of public administration, which will effectively respond to the needs of its citizens. The first option for this is Danube and transnational programs, IPA component II of the European Union, and the deadline for proposals within this call is 6th of June 2017. After that the next call is going to be related to the bilateral program Serbia - Montenegro, within the same IPA II components, as well as the second call within ADRION (Adriatic - Ionian) program in the third quarter of 2017.
