The Conference “One world, many cultures” was held at the Kujavian and Pomeranian University, City of Bydgoszcz, Poland. As an annual event, it was initiated in 2010.
This year´s edition was meant as another episode in a series of meetings of scientists and scholars, devoted to intercultural dialogue and exchange of ideas concerning today´s global problems. This year, the Conference focused in particular on dialogue between faiths. Thus, appropriately, its date felt on the 25th anniversary of John Paul II’s meeting in Assisi.
On behalf of ALDA, Vice President, Mr. Dobrica Milovanović participated at the Conference. He used this opportunity to meet with the deputy Rector of the University, Mr. Igor Taranov, and talk about possible cooperation in the field of multicultural scientific approaches.

The Conference aimed to offer an opportunity for scientific reflection and intellectually deepened dialogue to a wide range of cultural experts, political scientists, sociologists, historians, theologians, educators, economists, media specialists and representatives of other fields of arts and sciences.
It is noteworthy that this time the Conference was co-organized by the Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI) Vatican Foundation (, whose aim is to promote knowledge, organize and support scientific and cultural congresses, and reward scientists for their outstanding achievements (publications and research). The conference was an opportunity for everyone, regardless of their religion, to participate in a dialogue aimed at consensus. It intended to provide an opportunity to learn how a wide range of diverse human communities may coexist in an increasingly globalized world.
