In a Better World - a LADDER play to be hosted in Wien!
On September 23 at 8 PM, the Klavier Gallery of Wien will host "In a Better World": a choral performance part of the LADDER project, which aim is to raise awareness on global issues through the universal language of Art.
“In a better world” is a play developed within the framework of the European project LADDER (Local Authorities as Drivers for Development Education and Raising awareness) which is characterised by a consortium formed by 27 partners and 19 associates from 19 EU countries and 17 non-EU countries.
The play, written by Mr. Francesco Zarzana, narrates the tales of a young migrant woman who arrived in Europe on a boat with some few other survivors. The deadly journey strips her bare of her loved one, but the lady manages to save the life of two of her children who will survive to have a better future in Europe.
This lady is the witness of the tragedy and despair of the migrants crisis which afflicts the whole world. With her help, the audience will be provided with the means needed to further reflect on this thematic.
The cast is an international one and is composed by Mrs. Elena Polic Greco, one of the most talented actresses of the Italian classical theatre, by the singer Mrs. Eleonora Mazzotti, who translates into music some important passages of the show and plays in some key moments too and by French pianist Mrs. Valérie Marie, who plays live on stage her own compositions specifically tailored for this unique LADDER show.
