LDA Mostar implements the local activities within the Balkan Kaleidoscope project
As a part of the local activities within the Balkan Kaleidoscope project, during March 2018, LDA Mostar organized and implemented two workshops titled ''Multiperspectivity in history teaching'' for the young people aged 16-30. The workshop aimed to help young people understand the complexity and delicacy of intercultural dialogue through the use of a methodology of different perspectives and narratives that nurtures critical and unbiased thinking.
The workshops program and methodology were in line with the training for history teachers held in Osijek (Croatia) in November 2017, which aimed to qualify 40 teachers for teaching history on multipespecitivity basis.
The aforementioned workshops were followed by the study visit of all of the participants to three religious communities and their religious buildings in the City of Mostar surroundings: Monastery in Zitomislici, Mosque in Pocitelj and Caritas Capljina. The goal was to experience different communities all destroyed by the war happenings and rebuilt all over again, and whose population once refugees are today back to their homes and trying to rebuild intercultural relationships once again.
LDA Mostar finalized the local activities by awarding the certificates to our workshop participants and presenting the results of their work.
The projects final conference with the presentation of the project results is planned to be held in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina at the end of September 2018.
