The Innodoct Conference 2019: Towards bigger inclusion of intellectually disabilities



From 6th to 8th November the project Mind-Inclusion 2.0 attended the Innodoct Conference 2019 - International Conference on Innovation, Documentation, and Education, which took place at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. 

 
Innodoct Conference has the objective to provide a forum for academics and practitioners to come together to share research, discuss ideas, present projects, experience, results, and challenges related to new Information and communication technologies, innovations and methodologies applied to Education and Research.
 
In light of this, project partner Polibienestar - Research Institute on Social Welfare Policy attended the conference on behalf of Mind Inclusion, giving an important contribution to the general discussion by displaying a video titled “Accessible co-creation tools for people with intellectual disabilities for and with end-user”. Moreover, this video received “The Best Presentation Award” from the congress, in recognition of the excellent work done.
 
Mind Inclusion 2.0 is a project funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Commission, which has been running from November 2018 and will continue until October 2020. The project consortium comprises of Margherita: Società Cooperativa Onlus (Italy), leading partner, as well as Polibienestar Research Institute, INTRAS Foundation (Spain), Social IT Software & Consulting Srl (Italy), Lietuvos sutrikusio intelekto zmoniu globos bendrija «Viltis» (Lituania), Associazione Il Girasole (Italy), SEAS (Spain) and ALDA.
 
Mind Inclusion 2.0 aims to develop specific competencies to empower educators and to promote the creation of an app that will contribute to more sustainable and inclusive participation of disabled people, as a response to the needs of people with intellectual disabilities often facing challenges and psychological obstacles when accessing public places.
