Launching of the TANDEM V project event in Minsk, Belarus
On Friday, February 7th, 2020, the launching event of the TANDEM V project was held in Minsk, Belarus.
The event gathered more than 30 participants, representing all 12 beneficiaries of the grants awarded within the project as well as Lev Sapieha Foundation representatives and special guests from the Department of Humanitarian Aid of Belarus, which deals with the registration of foreign humanitarian aid. ALDA participated in the person of Victor Cotruta, EaP Project Coordinator.
All the grantees shortly presented their projects, focusing on the problems they identified at the local level and on their proposed solutions.
A special session was then dedicated to the registration of these projects with the Department of Humanitarian Aid, followed by a presentation of detailed information on how to successfully prepare reports, both narrative and financial.
“The event was very well organised” said Victor; “the participants’ presentations were extremely rich and detailed. The grantees were very thankful to ALDA and to the German Marshall Fund for their support”.
All the grantees’ projects will be implemented in close cooperation between local administrations and civil society organisations and/or initiative groups.
The TANDEM V project aims at solving such urgent problems as: activating citizens to participate in decision-making at the local level; strengthening civil society organizations through raising the level of knowledge in the field of project management and grant management; creating dialogue platforms between NGOs and local authorities; reducing dependency moods. TANDEM V is funded by the German Marshall Fund.
